When a child is not able to live with his or her biological parents, they are in need of a loving home through the gift of a foster parent. There are thousands of children in Pennsylvania alone who are in need of a stable home and too many of them are falling through the cracks. We need YOU to be their hero. Whether it’s a temporary placement or becomes permanent, a child can never have too many people to love them.
Our caring, dedicated staff will help guide you through the process from your home study all the way through placement of a child(ren) in your home. Every child who enters foster care is unique, with unique circumstances that brought them to foster care. Because of this, when possible, Haven’s experienced staff provides a thorough assessment of the characteristics of the child, the reasons for the child’s referral to foster care, and the potential foster care family’s dynamic when making a placement. This detailed process is designed to ensure the best possible match for the child and the foster family.
